Due to weather conditions tommorrow.thursday the 26th the plan is to cancel the Bayble and Loch Orisay trips and do the kayaking and open boating at Cuddy Point this week,and weather permitting do the other trips next week.

Those who have spent the past two weeks doing Open Boat / Canoeing skills need to meet at the water works on Loch Orasaigh on the B897. This is the back road to Ranish wich goes past the three wind turbines. Start time will still be at 7.15pm ready to go on the the water. End time will be the same as usual 8.30pm.

Those who have spent the past two weeks on Kayak skills need to meet at the public toilet block at Bayble beach. Start time will still be at 7.15pm ready to go on the the water. End time will be the same as usual 8.30pm.

In the event of inclement weather for either of these venues, cancellation or an alternative will be notified on the club facebook group and the club website. If in doubt check with one of the coaches by phone on the day.

2011 AGM

The 2011 AGM will be held in the Sea Angling Club Stornoway on Thursday 28 April at 9pm.

There will be no adult pool session on that day.

Today a trip down to the Loch seaforth wave with the sea kayaks on the trip,Murty,Mark,Mike,Jamie,Gordon and Simon who was filming the event.

St Kilda 2011

Sound of Harris Camping Trip Feb.2011

Murty,Robert, Bennie and Mark set of from Rodel for the Sound of Harris, Weather was se-6 Renish point wild big swell with breaking seas could not make Hermatray so camped on Lingaigh for the night,next day did a down wind run in force 7 to Leverburgh which did not take very long,enjoyable trip.

Little Bernera Weekend Jan. 2011

Ten paddlers camped out for the night and three joined us the following morning 13 paddlers for a trip out to Flodday then on to Berasay the channel to the old hill was out due to the large seas so off to Campay the arch and back to the slipway playing on a few skerrys on the way back.
