SCA participates in a periodic review of BCU Coaching
On Tuesday 4th August 2009, the BCU formally launched a periodic review of BCU Coaching – its governance and management as well as the coaching scheme. SCA representatives have contributed to the scoping of this review over the past few months and will be active participants in the process, alongside colleagues from England, Northern Ireland and Wales and Sports Coach UK. The group will report in final form to the BCU board at their January 2010 meeting. We will of course provide a full update to members once the review has been finalised.
This type of review is standard practice and we believe that it will consider fully the concerns that have been expressed by some parts of the SCA membership. Without seeking to pre-judge the outcome we expect this to result in a fine tuning of the structure and governance of BCU Coaching and its products. Consequently any qualifications which have already been obtained or are in the process of being obtained will continue to remain current
