Membership Renewal
If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2009/10 then now is the time to do so. Please see Christine or myself for a form or if you reply to this message I can email you one.

 
Cuddy Point and Boat Hire Fees
With less people around in the summer it is not easy to collect fees for sessions and hire on the day. To be fair to everyone can I ask that anyone who owes fees please pay them to either Christine or myself. (The fee for using club boats for Point Sessions is £2.50 and for your own boat is £1. The day hire rate is £3.)

 
Coaching Weekend

This weekend (15 & 16 August) Steve Mackinnon is coming over to run a coaching assessment for our Level 2 Trainees and an update for our other coaches.

On Saturday the programme is for the Level 2 assessment to run in the morning from 9 till 12. Any club members are welcome to come along for this and get some coaching.
On Saturday afternoon Steve will run an open (canadian) canoe session and two star assessment – there are limited places on this so please contact Murty if you are interested in attending.
On Sunday the coach update will be based around the new Foundation Safety Test which has replaced the Canoe Safety Test (often referred to as the Sea Safety Test in Stornoway!). This will be of interest to all coaches and anyone interested in becoming a coach.

Skye Trip
We are planning a trip to Skye over the weekend of the 28-30 August, and staying at Torrin which the Mallaig club have booked for the weekend. The plan will be to catch the early Friday Ferry (if we can book it!) from Tarbert and return on the very early ferry on the Monday Morning. If you want to come please let me know ASAP so we can organise travel.

 
Pool Sessions
Finally pool sessions will restart on 3 September at the usual times.
